Please review before applying. These rules describe expected operations but do not by themselves create an engagement. Any relationship begins only under separately accepted written terms, and applicable law and the actual working relationship control legal classification.
1. Independent engagement
Opportunities are intended for independent culinary contractors, not employees. Subject to the written agreement and applicable law:
- The contractor is responsible for taxes on compensation and may receive Form 1099.
- No employee benefits, salary, or guaranteed minimum number of assignments is promised.
- Each assignment is offered with its date, location, scope, and compensation. A contractor may accept or decline an offer without being required to explain.
- The contractor may work for others while honoring confidentiality and any lawful written obligations.
- Valid authorization to work in the United States is required.
2. Starting the relationship
Cooking competence is required. Personal Chef Ana provides recipes, result specifications, client-home standards, and assignment information; it does not sell or charge for culinary training.
- Initial conversation: a telephone or video call.
- Standards: recipe cards, expected presentation, and client-home requirements are provided.
- Joint visits: normally two or more accepted assignments alongside a practicing chef, paid at $50 per visit.
- Solo visits: may be offered later by mutual agreement; neither party guarantees future assignments.
Visiting a company client without an authorized assignment is prohibited.
3. Compensation and supplies
Compensation is offered per accepted visit rather than as a salary:
- Joint introductory visit: $50, typically 2–3 часа.
- Team visit: $100–$150, typically 3–4 часа.
- Solo visit: $150–$200, depending on scope and demonstrated competency, typically 3–4 часа.
Payment follows confirmation of the completed visit. Payment method and timing are stated or agreed separately. The company organizes groceries; contractors should not purchase groceries or incur expenses unless expressly authorized in writing.
4. Professional and client-home standards
- Arrive on time in clean, agreed professional attire with secured hair, short clean nails, and no strong fragrance.
- Treat clients and household members respectfully. Do not enter closed rooms or use personal property without permission.
- Never photograph a client, home, or property without express written permission.
- Use a phone during an assignment only as reasonably needed for the work or team communication.
- Leave the kitchen clean and promptly report any damage, safety issue, or client concern.
- Coordinate assignment-time or scope changes through the designated coordinator.
5. Confidentiality
A separate confidentiality agreement may be required before a client visit. Confidential information includes client identity, address and household information; recipes and operating standards; pricing and internal processes; and anything private seen or heard in a client home. A breach may end the relationship and may have consequences under the written agreement and Texas law.
6. Cancellations
- Notify the coordinator as soon as possible and normally at least 24 hours before an accepted visit.
- A late cancellation may affect future scheduling to the extent permitted by the written agreement and applicable law.
- Missing an accepted visit without notice may be grounds to end the relationship.
- Illness and emergencies must be reported promptly; food-safety concerns take priority.
7. Food safety
- Follow applicable food-safety requirements and the assignment’s written handling instructions. A current Texas food-handler credential may be required for particular work.
- Follow allergen and cross-contact instructions exactly and escalate uncertainty before serving food.
- Do not attend a food-service assignment while experiencing symptoms that may create a food-safety risk.
8. Ending an engagement
Either party may end the relationship as allowed by the written agreement and law. Grounds for immediate removal from an assignment or termination may include a serious confidentiality or safety breach, an unreported absence, material misconduct, false application information, or unauthorized direct dealings with company clients.
